About ANNIKA

With a voice as dynamic as her personality, ANNIKA is an accomplished musician, vocalist, and songwriter whose blend of raw talent and quick-witted charm has been winning over audiences for nearly two decades.

Raised in Calgary, Alberta, ANNIKA combines her love of country songwriting with soulful piano playing and rich, melodic vocals. Her music flows seamlessly across genres - mixing the warmth of country, the groove of soul, the edge of pop, and the depth of blues. She has built a thriving career as an independent artist with over 1 million global streams, 1.7 million YouTube views, and high-profile collaborations with Canadian country stars Carolyn Dawn Johnson (2025), Chad Brownlee (2024), and Brett Kissel (2021).

Now, ANNIKA is gearing up to release her catchy country-pop single “Losing Side Of Love” on April 17.

“Losing Side of Love” is an upbeat yet emotional anthem about the frustration of repeatedly failing at relationships and questioning why things never seem to work out. Produced by award-winning producer Spencer Cheyne (Brett Kissel, MacKenzie Porter, Chad Brownlee), the track is built around punchy drums and bright electric guitars, leaning into a more pop-forward sound while still maintaining Annika’s signature country storytelling.

"I love this song because of its spirit and hopeful attitude. The upbeat sound and driving rhythm give it an energy that isn’t heavy or depressed, but resilient and forward-looking. Even though the lyrics come from a place of frustration, it never feels defeated. Instead, it pushes toward the future with optimism. I love that it leaves the listener feeling hopeful rather than discouraged!" - ANNIKA

As an iHeart Radio Future Star and Boots & Hearts semi-finalist, ANNIKA has been recognized for her talent in Canadian country music. With multiple YYC award nominations and her debut single, “I Really Don’t Want To,” securing a spot in CBC Country’s Top 40 chart for five consecutive weeks and Billboard Country’s Top 50 chart for four weeks, she has made her mark on the Canadian music scene.

A professionally trained pianist and vocalist, ANNIKA has taken her talents around the world - from bustling cruise ship piano bars, to national television as a Top 11 finalist on Canadian Idol, and even as host of the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show, where she performed for a combined audience of over 200,000 people. Her performance highlights include playing “In the Round” at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee (2017) and performing at the Birdland Jazz Club in New York City, New York (2017).

Whether she’s performing solo at the piano or fronting a full band, ANNIKA is known to deliver a performance that is authentic, passionate, and sure to leave audiences entertained.
